Familjeapoteket acquired; pharmacy permit from the Swedish Medicines Agency.
2012
Apotea is launched. First profitable quarter.
2013
First profitable full year; sales exceed SEK 100 million.
2014
Launch of digital prescription sales via proprietary system (previously manual prescription process).
2015
Home delivery via courier is launched; sales exceed SEK 500 million.
2016
Turnover is approaching SEK 1 billion.
2017
Named the strongest pharmacy brand in Sweden by the Swedish Brand Awards and opened the Company's first prescription hub.
2018
Moved to an approx. 38,000 square meter logistics center in Morgongåva; ranked as one of Europe's fastest growing companies by the Financial Times.
2019
First step towards an automated logistics center with investments in automated picking and packing systems.
2020
Covid-19 outbreak – several hundred employees were recruited in just a few weeks.
2021
Strategic investments in increased capacity and automation, e.g. more A-frames.
2022
Apotea first in the world with robotic picking system integrated with AutoStore; began expansion outside Sweden (majority owner of Apotera in Norway).
2023
The expansion of automation in Morgongåva has been completed, resulting in a total daily order capacity of approximately 100,000 orders.
2024
Start of construction for another logistics center in Varberg.
Apotea was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange
