# Hosta

I samband med förkylning får man ofta problem med hosta. Hosta är en reflex som utlöses när något irriterar slemhinnorna i luftvägarna. Att man hostar är för att rensa luftrören och ska alltså inte dämpas i onödan. Hosta kan uppträda både som slemhosta och torr rethosta.
Receptfria hostmediciner mot både slem och torrhosta
De hostmediciner som finns receptfritt hos oss har antingen slemlösande eller hostdämpande effekt och finns i både flytande form och i tablettform. För behandling av slemhosta är det vanligt att hostmediciner innehåller det verksamma ämnet Bromhexinhydroklorid, och i vårt sortiment hittar du slemlösande hostmediciner både för barn över ett år samt vuxna. Vid besva¨rlig rethosta kan hostmedicin med noskapin verka lindrande.
Lindra din hosta på egen hand
Det du kan göra själv för att lindra dina besvär är att dricka ordentligt med vatten, använda nässpray, samt undvika föroreningar från cigarettrök och andra irriterande ämnen som kan irritera luftvägarna.
